2020 Gold Telly: Branded Content - Sports

Rams’ wide receiver Cooper Kupp ended the 2019 season with a knee injury and had to watch his team go on to play in a Super Bowl without him. UNIFY wanted to create a video to get the fans hyped for Kupp’s return to the field. So we did. We got them super hyped. After a month on Instagram, it had been viewed over 50K times and had more than 200 comments, including love from teammates Jared Goff and Todd Gurley.

My role: I pitched three ideas to UNIFY Financial Credit Union on videos we could do with Rams’ wide receiver Cooper Kupp. They chose See Coop Run, a hype reel telling the story of the fan favorite battling his way back from knee surgery. I wrote a treatment and put together a storyboard to get approval from the Rams and Kupp’s marketing team. With buy-in from all key stakeholders, I partnered with Mike Relm to produce a 60 second video with the catchy refrain ‘See Coop Run.’ It won a Gold Telly for Sports, Branded Content.

2022 Gold Hermes Creativity Awards: Strategic Campaigns

UNIFY and the LA Rams were looking to refresh their ticket promotion campaign. We named the campaign Scoop & Score - scoop up a UNIFY membership and score two tickets to a Rams’ home game. Scoop & Score was integrated throughout UNIFY’s activation at the 2022 Rams Training Camp. The campaign won a Gold in the 2022 Hermes Creativity Awards.

My role: I named the campaign Scoop & Score and handled copywriting and creative direction for the digital, social, and email executions. I hired John Copponex and worked with him on art direction and design. As creative director I served as the primary contact with the client, handling all presentations, budgeting, scoping, and timelines.

“As we ventured into new sponsorships with the LA Rams, Chargers, and even NFL player contracts, Drew was vital to our success. He understands our goals and was able to work directly with our business sponsorship partners to execute on those goals.”
